STEM Education – Robotics

This course introduces participants to STEM education which is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach.

Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.

What separates STEM from traditional science and math education is the blended learning environment and showing students how the scientific method can be applied to everyday life. It teaches students computational thinking and focuses on the real-world applications of problem-solving.

Who benefits from STEM?

STEM education helps to bridge the ethnic and gender gaps sometimes found in math and science fields. Initiatives have been established to increase the roles of women and minorities in STEM-related fields. STEM education breaks traditional gender roles. In order to compete in a global economy, STEM education and careers must be a national priority. Each and every decision made uses an aspect of STEM to understand the implications.

The course:

Equipment

The focus of the project is to learn the four specific disciplines of STEM by using high-end equipment such as:

Lego Mindstorms EV3 education edition

DJI Tello Edu

DJI Robomaster S1 Participants do not need to be familiar with any of the above equipment. All of them are easy to use and the course will introduce them to it.

Follow up
The participants will get material which includes information about all the areas covered at the course, lesson plans, all the produced outcomes of the course, useful links and more.

Duration and cost
The duration of the course is 5 training days and the cost is 350€
